Terms of use, accuracy and privacy
TenderScreen is a test version for a small group of defence suppliers. Please read this page before you rely on anything it shows.
1. What TenderScreen is
TenderScreen collects the public documents of a tender, reads them with an AI model and turns them into a list of requirements, documents to hand in, deadlines, contradictions and check questions. It is a reading aid for a bid team. It is not legal advice, and it does not decide whether you may bid.
2. Accuracy: what you may and may not rely on
- Every requirement, date and document in the app was written by an AI model from the buyer's documents. The model can misread, miss or over-grade. Labels such as "Exclusion if not met" and "Could exclude you" are the model's reading of the documents, not a legal finding.
- "Bid fit" is an estimate from your own answers with a fixed, uncalibrated formula. It is a summary of what you answered, not a prediction of the outcome.
- Every item links to the sentence in the buyer's document it was taken from. Before you act on an item, read that sentence in the document. The app marks what your team has checked against the source; what is not marked has not been checked.
- Figures can be computed by the model from other figures (for example a tolerance applied to a weight). Where a figure is not found in the cited document, the app says so next to the item.
- Scanned documents that could not be read, and documents the buyer published after the analysis, are not in the analysis unless the app says they were read. The app lists what it could not read.
- Measured on the tenders we tested so far, the analysis found most requirements and almost all exclusion rules, graded some requirements more severely than an expert would, and occasionally missed one. Results on other tenders will differ.
3. Terms of use (test version)
- The service is provided as is, without any warranty, for evaluation. You use it at your own risk; the operator is not liable for a bid lost, excluded or delayed because of anything the app showed or did not show.
- Use TenderScreen only with public tender documents. Do not upload documents that carry a national, EU or NATO restriction marking (for example "dienesta vajadzībām", "VS-NfD", "NATO RESTRICTED"). The app refuses to analyse documents in which it finds such a marking, but the responsibility stays with you.
- Test accounts are personal and may be closed at any time. Limits on the number of analyses apply.
- Buyer documents remain the property of the buyer and are shown here only for your own bid work.
4. Privacy: what we store and why
- Accounts. A username, a password hash, the role, and for test accounts a short note on who the account is for (a name or company written by us). Your answers, decisions, owners, statuses, target dates and "checked against the source" marks are stored per account or team, with the username and time of each check mark.
- Access requests. Name, company and e-mail from the "Request access" form, kept until we have replied and the test has ended, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Usage of test accounts. Which pages you open and for how long, what you click, which answers and statuses you choose, errors, and your browser's identification string. For text you type, only its length. Used to improve the tool, kept for the duration of the test, deleted on request.
- Visitors without an account. No cookie and no stored identifier. We count visits with a code made from your network address, your browser string and a secret that changes every day; the code cannot be turned back into your address and is not linked across days. Only "phone" or "desktop" is kept about your browser.
- Where. Data is stored on a server in Helsinki, Finland (Hetzner Online GmbH, EU). Tender documents are sent to Anthropic's API (Anthropic PBC, USA) for the analysis; they are public documents and no account data goes with them. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which sees your browser's request.
- Your rights. Ask the person who gave you your account to see, correct or delete what we hold about you; we answer within 30 days. You can also ask for your test account and its data to be removed.
5. Operator and contact
The operator of this test version will be announced on this page before any paid use.
